Mr Williamson said a June 2005 Treasury paper examined whether expenditure on roads was sufficient and concluded substantial road infrastructure "underinvestment" was occurring.
He said Treasury had noted New Zealand seemed to be passing up road investments that would provide a high return.
But Mr Hodgson said since that paper was produced, the Government had increased investment in roading.
So where are the facts, the examples, the justification for this statement. And probably more importantly, why is Stuff not asking these questions ?
