Only in Wellington

Well we (the family) lined up to see 'Les Arts Saute' tonight for the 5:00pm performance. At about 5:05 they announced that the performance was cancelled because the wind was too high. They said they would try again at 7:30. So we lined up again and at 7:55... you guessed it - cancelled.

BUT there was an upside, we were in the right place at the right time when some of the performers came out (in costume) to mingle with the disappointed crowd. Even got a picture of two performers with the kids.

One of them did say: Wellington is the only city in the world where they have had to cancel performances because the wind makes the dome unsafe.
